pig.at is the umbrella organisation of all Austrian pig breeders, coordinating regional breeding associations and the interests of the whole integrated production chain from breeding to market.

The Austrian Pig Breeders Association has access to a wide group of breeders and insemination centres throughout Austria and is thus in a position to supply first-class breeding stock and semen.

  • Breeding animals originate from the successful ÖHYB breeding programme. The breeds meet the requirements of farmers, processors and consumers – from farm to fork. The optimal combination of breeds brings you: •  highly fertile sows with good maternal abilities, • high performance finishing pigs with optimal lean meat content, • vital and healthy breeding animals.

Pietrain as a terminal sire is responsible for very lean carcasses. The stress-negative lines (NN/NP) guarantee good meat quality.
