Donau Soja is an international, non-profit organisation based in Vienna. Under the brand Donau Soja we stand up for soya bean cultivation in the Danube region and under the brand Europe Soya we stand up for soya bean cultivation in the European region. Our programme promotes a non-GM, sustainable and regional protein supply.
Together with its partners, the Donau Soya Association implements breeding and research projects for non-GM soya seeds and soya plant protection concepts. Consumers profit from safe, sustainable, non-GM and regional soya, and animal keepers from long-term security of supply.
Donau Soja and Europe Soya are branding programmes for soya beans, soya food products (tofu, soya drinks, etc.), and products derived from animals fed on soya bean flour or roasted soya beans (milk, eggs, meats, etc.). They define the region of origin of soya as a raw material and include standards for plant protection, non-GM production, traceability, sustainability (land use & land use change, social standards) and the inspection system.
The Donau Soja Association is the holder of the Donau Soja Standard and the Donau Soja Guidelines and reserves the right to amend these documents. Donau Soja GmbH monitors and inspects the Donau Soja partners together with authorised inspection bodies.
