Products

V.B.S. is the feeding concept of BIOMIN and stands for VarioBiotic System. V.B.S. has been developed to find situation specific solutions for the safety and efficiency in the utilisation of nutrients of feed in livestock production. It is a concept which helps to find the optimum combination of feed additives, which ensures high efficacy in an economical way.

 

Premixes

BIOMIN produces premixes for pigs, poultry and cattle, which are distributed worldwide. All our premixes are developed and designed in the department of feed design according to the latest knowledge in animal nutrition and our experience in practice. We incorporate our innovative products, which have been developed in house and contribute significantly to the safety and quality of livestock feed.

Mycotoxin Deactivators

The Mycofix® Plus product line represents a modular system that protects animal health by deactivation of mycotoxins, taken in with respectively contaminated feed. Its sophisticated dual mode of action - adsorption of mycotoxins with suitably located polar functional groups and biological degradation of less-/non- adsorbable mycotoxins - forms the basis of its unique patented efficacy.

Biotronic®

Acidifiers are generally organic acids or their salts used for the acidification, preservation and control of microbial contamination of feed and are an important tool for controlling feed safety. Acidifiers have a wide range of functions, which are not directly related to nutrition, but are important to the safety of feed. They provide acidity, which reduces the acid binding capacity of feed, contributes to flavour and aids digestion.

Biomin® P.E.P

Phytobiotics or phytogenic feed additives is a term used for plant extracts derived from herbs or spices, which have aromatic properties as well as functional properties which are beneficial to feed safety. The use of plant extracts in food to improve taste and preservation of food and aid digestion dates back thousands of years to ancient human societies.

Functional Additives

Nowadays modern animal husbandry is facing many challenges. The ban of antibiotic growth promoters in Europe, the consumer's demand for healthy and safe food at a low price and the trend towards "natural" meat production require new solutions and concepts. One of the main problems producers are facing is that young animals are suceptible to pathogenic infection.
